Getting started

Your store can be ready in a few minutes. Here is the whole path from sign up to your first sale.

Sign up for your free trial

  1. On the PeppyPOS website, tap Start free trial.
  2. Fill in Business name, Type of business, Your name, Mobile number, Email and a Password of at least 8 characters. Use the eye button to check what you typed.
  3. Under Plan after your trial, pick Free, Basic, Advance, Pro or Business. After the trial you stay on Free unless you pick a paid plan. You can change it later.
  4. Tick the box that says you understand PeppyPOS tracks sales and inventory only, and that your taxes, BIR invoices and any registration your RDO requires (such as a Permit to Use) stay with you.
  5. Tap Create my store.

Every new store gets 14 days free with every Pro feature. No card is needed. Your store starts empty. Add your first items in Menu › Add product.

Your store address

Each store has its own web address, for example yourstore.peppypos.com. It is made from your business name.

  1. When sign up finishes you see Your store is ready with Your store address under it.
  2. Tap Copy and save it somewhere safe, or bookmark it. This is where you and your staff log in every day.
  3. On a tablet or phone, open the address in Chrome or Safari and choose Add to Home Screen or Install app from the browser menu. PeppyPOS then opens like a normal app.

Your first login

  1. Tap Open my store on the sign up page. It logs you straight in. Later, go to the website and tap Log in.
  2. Log in with your email and password, then tap Log in. You go straight into your store.
  3. If you have more than one branch, pick the one you want to open from the list.
  4. Already know your store address? Tap Know your store address? Go to it, type it and tap Go.
  5. The owner sees Before you start once: PeppyPOS tracks sales and inventory, keep issuing your BIR invoices, and taxes and RDO registration stay with you. Tap I understand. It does not show again for your store, and staff never see it.

Everyone logs in with their email and password. The owner adds each staff member's email in Settings › Users. Tick Remember me to keep your email filled in next time. You stay logged in on that device until you log out.

Add your menu

  1. Open Menu and tap Add product (top right).
  2. Type the Name, pick a Category and type the Price. Add the Cost too (only owners see it) so your profit is right.
  3. Type an Initial stock if you count this item.
  4. Tap Add product. You will see "Product added".

To make categories first, go to Menu › Manage › Categories, type a name in New category name and tap Add. Have a long list in Excel? Use the Import / Export card at the bottom of Menu (see Import from Excel).

Active products per plan: Free 30, Basic 100, Advance 300, Pro and Business unlimited.

Add your staff

Owner only

  1. Go to Settings › Users and tap Add user.
  2. Type the person's Name and their Email. They log in with this email.
  3. Give them a Password of at least 8 characters (a 6 digit PIN on older stores that use PINs).
  4. Pick the Account: Staff or Owner. For staff, pick a Staff role: Cashier (sells only, the default; Senior and PWD discounts always work) or Manager (everything except store settings). Turn on Can approve refunds only for people you trust with refunds.
  5. Tap Add user. Give the person their email and password. They log in on the PeppyPOS website and land in your store.

Want different roles? Go to Settings › Roles & permissions › Manage roles (see Roles and permissions). Staff only see their own branch.
